Dungannon, VA ~ Rev. Vernon Cecil Howard Jessee, 87 passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Holston Manor in Kingsport Tennessee.
Hewas a retired employee of Uniroyal Plastics. He was a pastor of several Free Will Baptist Churches in his life, the last one was in St. Paul, Virginia.
He was the son of the late Denny Edison Jessee and Zemie Elizabeth (Dellinger) Jessee; his first wife; Elsie Janus Salyers Jessee; four brothers, Charlie (Doris) Jessee, Edison (Bernice) Jessee Jr., Thomas (Ruth) Jessee and Delton 'Bub' Jessee; grandson, Brandon Jessee; son-in-law, Steven Doust; great grandchildren, R.J. Walleman, Samantha Walleman, CaseyAnna Buckley.
Survivors include his spouse, Nita Joyce Jessee, Dungannon; one daughter, Sue (Jerry Myers) Jessee, Oak Harbor, Oh; three sons, Denny (Barb) Jessee, Port Clinton, OH, Ken (Vicki Whitted) Jessee, Port Clinton, OH, Vernon Cecil (Trish Burnette) Jessee Jr., Port Clinton, OH; a sister, Ellawese Reed, Greenville, SC; a brother, Barney (Brenda Hamilton) Jessee, Stanley, NC, three step-daughters, Olivia (Kevin) Stelley, Bluff City, TN, Melissa Williams, and Shirley (Andy) Hundley, Mt. Carmel, TN; a step-son, Oscar L. Cox, San Bernadino, CA; 11 grandchildren, 25 grest grandchildren, several nieces, nephews uncles and cousins.
Visitation for Vernon Cecil Howard Jessee will be held on Monday January 11, 2016 at 11:00 to 1:00 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel andfuneral services at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bill Crawford and Rev. Elwood Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
