Coeburn, VA ~W. A. "Rass"Dishman, 91 passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015, at his residence in Coeburn.
He was a retired employee by Clinchfield Coal Co., member of U.M.W.A. and a member of Coeburn Masonic Lodge #97 A.F. & A.M.
Rass was the son of the late James and Mary Horne Dishman; also preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Maine Dishman, brothers, Jack Dishman, Joe Fred Dishman, June Dishman and Troy "Dot" Dishman; sister, Carrie Dishman.
Survivors include daughters, Francis Harris, and husband, Larry, Sandusky, OH, Barbara Bond, and husband, Richard, Sandra Dishman Robinette, all of Coeburn; son, Don Dishman, and wife, Shirley, Sandusky, OH; brother, Huey Dishman and wife, Sherry, Maryland; half-brothers, Carl Younce, Richmond, VA and Freddie Younce, Martinsville, VA; two half-sisters, Louise Kennedy and Glenna Baker both of N.C.; special friends, Hurley Mitchell, Ralph Wells and Freida Cegiel. 7 Grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation for William Abner "Rass" Dishman will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Curtis Bond and Rev. Ralph Wells officiating. Coeburn Masonic Lodge #97 A.F. & A.M. will furnish and Evening Masonic service prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
