Coeburn, VA ~ Willis Andrew Foster, 86, went home to be with his Lord Thursday, November 27, 2003 at his home in Sandy Ridge.
Mr. Foster was born in Lee Springs, Tennessee and raised in Banner, Va. He was a retired coal miner of 35 years, a member of U.M.W.A. and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey Releford and Ida Hodges Maples Foster; brothers, James Foster, Bernice Foster, Ray Foster and William Foster; Great-Granddaughter, Anna E. Franks.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Minton Foster; daughters and sons-in-law, Ella May and Curtis Franks, Coeburn, Helen and Charles Vannoy, Blountville, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Willis Eugene and Linda Foster, Vinton, VA; son, Larry Foster, Rochester Hills, MI; brother, Charlie Foster, Kapac, MI; sisters, Willie Denton, Lois Donnelly, both of Elizabethton, TN, Nell Kiser, Bristol, VA and Mary Lou Ritchie, Coeburn; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Willis Andrew Foster will be held Sunday, November 30, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Millard Laney, R.L. Crawford and Rev. Bert Franks officiating.Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn.Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday after 6:00 P.M.
